Abstract |
Rengyolone is a cyclohexylethanoid isolated from the Eurya emarginate (Thunb) Makino. lt has been shown to exhibit antibacterial activity, anti-inflammatory, and diuretic. The aim of this study was to investigate the effective and activated mechanism by which rengyolone inhibits IFN-γ-induced MDC expression in the human keratinocyte cell line HaCaT. We found that rengyolone dose dependently inhibited MDC production by lFN-γ stimulation in HacaT keratinocytes. Also rengyolone suppressed IFN-γ-induced phosphorylation of STAT1, a key transcription factor infiltrating IFN-γ signaling pathway. Therefore We propose that Rengyolone could be used as a basis therapeutic material against atopic dermatitis. |
