Abstract

Organ transplantation by brain dead donor is a treatment option of end-stage organ disease. Brain dead donor results in a devastating physiological changes associated with deterioration of the function of other organs. Therefore, optimal anesthetic managements were required to achieve successful organ harvesting. We experienced for the first time the anesthetic management of organ harvesting of the brain dead donor in Jeju National University Hospital.
